"Maybe The Next" by Kale Vandenbroek
Kale Vandenbroek is a visual artist based in Toronto, Ontario. His work explores the homosexual man's place in contemporary social constructs. Through autobiographical imagery, Kale portrays his own struggle with finding his place. Making this work offers the artist a way to process the experience. His likeness interacts with symbolic objects from the world around him, some real and some imagined.
Kale’s works has shown in Japan, China, Finland, and within Canada, with a piece in the collection at the Tama Art University in Tokyo. Kale completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Alberta College of Art + Design in Calgary in 2014.
