Emotional Support Ceramics with Katika Marczell

Bring your friends and come learn to make your very own emotional support ceramics! These lil friends can live in your pockets, bags, shelves, desk, or anywhere your heart desires. They can be a great comfort in times of stress and of happiness, supporting you whenever you need them! (Plus you can give them cute lil faces that make you go, "eeeeee!".)

During this workshop you'll learn some basic hand-building and underglaze techniques that will help you make your very own emotional support ceramics.

Facilitator: Katika Marczell (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist, and muralist. She completed her (honors)BA at the University of Toronto, and her MFA at York University. She has worked with the Agnes Etherington Art Centre, Bell Box Murals, Kensington BIA, West Queen West BIA, The Personal Care Bank, Mural Routes, Arts Milton, as well as private clients. Her murals can be found in and around Toronto, Etobicoke, and Milton. She has facilitated a variety of ceramics workshops at Kitte Club, and is currently teaching at York University.
